Hi. I’m Martin, or as my website says, “The Recording Studio Guy”

All my working life – and a lot of my personal life too – has been spent pursuing my recording passion.

From my first days at home with domestic reel to reel, cassette, improvised overdubbing and simple microphones and headphones – through professional 24 track analogue tape multitrack music and advertising jingle studios, television broadcast and production, radio broadcast and production, audio post for film and television, field recording, news and current affairs television camera – I’ve made as many transitions as there have been technological changes.

I still appreciate living in a time where the technology to create and refine the sounds that we enjoy move us has continued to evolve and made it more possible than ever to facilitate artists in expressing themselves.

I work in a hybrid analogue digital world pulling together the knowledge and the strength of my experience allows me to aid artists in attaining their goals.

Music production – recording, mixing and mastering.

Audio book and podcasts – interviews and reading/narration/performance/sound design.

Film and television – editing, sound design, mixing, restoration.

These are my strengths and my passions. I am committed to working with artists in a friendly, creative, productive, time efficient, and cost effective manner. One that guarantees client satisfaction above all else – if you’re not happy I will work until you are. It is worth it to be a part of the process where creative vision is realised and know that I have been an essential element of the technical and creative side.
